Synopsis

Since banishing her nineteen-year-old daughter, Marie, for voting for Hillary Clinton, Shirley insists Marie has embarked on a perilous path—a life of substance abuse and, most distressingly, as a sugar baby. Marie’s choices stand in stark contrast to Shirley’s rigid Catholic values, and the mother confesses bewilderment at where she failed with her daughter, given that her elder sons, Jan and Scott, have led respectable lives.
