Synopsis

Renae describes her 14-year-old daughter, Amanda, as once being the perfect child, a source of parental pride. However, over the past few years, Amanda has transformed into a rebellious and volatile teenager. Renae recounts that Amanda’s anger frequently targets her, detailing instances of physical aggression – punches numbering as many as fifty in the last year, knocked-out teeth, verbal abuse, and physical assaults involving kicks, bites, and spitting. Amanda acknowledges a lack of respect for
