Synopsis

For twelve years, Sue has endured verbal abuse from her husband, Andy. Fear has rendered her submissive; she admits to self-destructive acts – intoxication and sexual relations – undertaken solely to maintain a fragile semblance of peace. "If he's going to kill me," she confesses, "he can do it. I feel as though I'm already dead." Yet, she worries about his leaving.
