Synopsis

Hospital policy may restrict Dr. Lahela "Doogie" Kamealoha from treating patients without insurance, but Lahela makes a silent promise: she will help the next person who seeks care, regardless of the circumstances—even if that person happens to be a small boy's dog. Concurrently, Lahela’s brothers, Kai and Brian Patrick, assist their father Benny in navigating his grief over the loss of Uncle John by organizing a celebration of his life.
