Synopsis

The setting is an Okubo remittance office in Tokyo, a district where forty percent of the inhabitants are foreign. A constant flow of visitors arrives at this place, drawn by the promise of sending funds to one of fifteen hundred countries for a fee of roughly one thousand yen. An Indonesian woman sends tuition money to support her sister's children, while a man from Africa transfers funds to bring his son to live with him.
