Synopsis

Kurume is renowned as the origin of tonkotsu ramen. A ramen shop situated along the national highway draws three thousand patrons daily. On days of national holiday, a couple invariably shares a bowl of "morning ramen." A truck driver on a journey from Aomori to Kagoshima makes a stop, as does an industrial worker who has frequented the establishment after night shifts since he was fifteen, and who is now nearing retirement. Established in 1958, the same year as the construction of Tokyo Tower,
