Synopsis

In the forests of Yakushima, a World Heritage site, stand ancient giants, their roots reaching back millennia. Increasingly, visitors from across Japan journey to this island, seeking the famed "Jomon cedars," visible only after a half-day trek up a mountain 1,000 kilometers south of Tokyo.
