Synopsis

Beyond the well-trodden paths north of Sensoji Temple, in the quieter recesses of Asakusa rarely noted in guidebooks, lies a coffee shop with a history spanning four decades. Its specialty is Neapolitan coffee. Opening promptly at nine in the morning and remaining open until five in the early hours, it draws a loyal clientele of locals: Asakusa performers who reside nearby, retired innkeepers, and rickshaw pullers. After midnight, the shop finds itself hosting weary taxi drivers seeking respite.
