Synopsis

In Osaka's Airin district, a haven for daily laborers, the "monthly rental locker" is a necessity. Residents often live in small, sparsely furnished dwellings offering little more than a place to sleep, and possess no secure location for their possessions. Each locker becomes a repository of a life lived. As August arrives, a wave of departures washes across Japan, and this film intimately observes a venerable locker shop, a hub of activity for those depositing and retrieving their belongings. I
