Synopsis

Nestled among trendy cafes and shops is a fruit and vegetable store, a lifeline for immigrants from across the globe, open around the clock. People from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and countless other places gather there, each carrying their own aspirations, familial obligations, and everyday worries. The heart of the downtown retains a warmth and connection to humanity that has, perhaps, faded for many in Japan.
