Synopsis

"I rent myself out to do nothing." This is the proposition of a man offering a curious service. He performs no tasks, merely occupies space, yet demand for his presence remains constant, and his Twitter feed boasts over a hundred thousand followers. People seek him out to accompany them during divorce proceedings, to witness their legal battles, or to share in their weddings. These are needs beyond the scope of family or friends; but who, then, truly requires someone simply to be present?
