Synopsis

Tucked away in a quiet alcove of a liquor store in Tokyo’s Asagaya district is a simple standing bar where patrons can enjoy their drinks on the premises. A diverse clientele frequents this unassuming spot – a company worker unwinding after a long day, or a retired husband and wife savoring newfound time together. For three days, we spoke with those who gathered in the shop’s back room, inquiring about the reasons behind their visits and the pleasure of raising a glass.
