Synopsis

At a modest train station on the Shimabara Peninsula in Nagasaki Prefecture, yellow handkerchiefs billow in the wind. Beyond the platform stretches the Ariake Sea. This deserted station draws a steady flow of visitors, drawn by the vista and the opportunity to inscribe their hopes upon the fabric.
