My wife enjoys it quite a bit. I appreciated *The Simpsons* and I truly loved *Futurama*, but I don’t believe this show brings anything fresh to the table. It doesn't seem to be attempting to emulate either of those series, nor is it trying to revive past successes, which I will concede. And while there are occasional amusing bits, it doesn’t feel like it’s aiming to make any kind of statement. It isn’t satirizing popular culture in the way *The Simpsons* did when it was at its best, and it's not a commentary on society filtered through the perspective of science-fiction fandom as *Futurama* achieved... it doesn’t even engage in pop culture mockery or offer social observations presented via fantasy. It simply exists, feeling somewhat random and unremarkable. It isn’t even the type of underwhelming that prompts dislike for the characters or circumstances; expressing such sentiments would at least hold a bit more substance than this show provides. Ultimately, it's mildly entertaining, but also shallow and without significance. The humor lacks depth; jokes appear only when presented directly. There's an impression that it was hastily produced, attempting to weave together a larger narrative about essentially nothing particularly enjoyable or unique.
