Synopsis

Arnold’s disappointment at being grounded for a history test, marked with a disappointing “D,” unexpectedly gives way to a spark of inspiration. It arises from an encounter with a fellow student, an immigrant diligently preparing for naturalization, who offers Arnold a different lens through which to view his own country.
