My wife and I really enjoyed this series. If you’re into very dark, suspenseful stories with well-developed characters—even though there’s a surprising amount of gore—then give it a try. Let me caution you, though: quit watching after season 5. We both liked season 5, but the subsequent seasons were really disappointing for us. It seemed to take a wrong turn and completely spoiled what we enjoyed about it. You could finish season 5 and then just look up summaries of the later seasons online and skip them altogether; that way your positive feelings about the show will last longer. Seriously, avoid watching those final seasons.
