I found myself quite engaged with this series initially. Time travel narratives are something I’ve consistently appreciated, and the aged visuals depicting Christ, Joan of Arc, and other figures from antiquity or the medieval period—setting aside questions about their historical accuracy—held my attention. However, at a certain point, the storyline seemed to shift in its direction, moving toward a more technical, science-based plot involving multiple universes and concepts like whether our actions are predetermined by past events. I won’t go into detail on those ideas because I lack the expertise to discuss them properly. I remained invested enough to finish watching, but I would have liked it better if the show had maintained its focus on the time travel portal elements instead of getting bogged down in theoretical explanations. It feels more like a suspenseful story than an exploration of how we understand history.
