The presence of talented performers isn’t enough to redeem this initially engaging show. I haven’t encountered anything particularly original within the cult thriller/mystery/horror combination presented in *Devil in Ohio*. The plot unfolds as expected, and it might have been reasonably enjoyable if not for the constant insertion of progressive themes throughout. This feels exhausting, portraying a world that likely bears little resemblance to most people's experiences. I suspect many individuals’ everyday lives are far removed from this depiction, even if they share some similarities. Essentially, can something still be considered entertainment when it functions as a tool for promoting certain viewpoints? In my view, the answer is no, and I am unable to suggest any series that falls into that category.
