Synopsis

Rieger, the lawyer, received a phone call demanding he deliver a weapon to a dangerous prisoner, Günter Hausmann, facilitating his escape. The operator’s voice, cold and detached, added a chilling urgency: Rieger's wife was being held hostage, her life forfeit if he disobeyed. He agreed, but with a grim resolve. Before handing over the gun, he emptied its magazine. Days later, news arrived that Hausmann had killed a prison guard during his escape.
