I initially expected something along the lines of Justified, or perhaps a more contemporary version of Walker or Longmire, set in Los Angeles. What I received was an insistent presentation of progressive political themes. As a result, I'm disengaging; I’ve reached my limit with entertainment that feels like it’s lecturing me from a position of superiority. Like many other shows these days, this one isn't appealing to me, and I will opt not to invest my time in something that seems to dismiss those who don’t meet what appears to be an ideological standard. I intend to find entertainment elsewhere—something free of political messaging where I can simply enjoy the experience rather than feel like I am being given a lesson.
