He received a new amplifier, but the opportunity to test it was denied. Bea’s demands and veiled threats – a noxious emission if the task wasn't completed – forced his hand. He resolved to conceal the matter. Yet, Bea retaliated with a spiteful act: she pilfered the volume knob from the new equipment.
