Synopsis

Two more figures arrived at Quindecim: a boy, barely more than a child, and an older man. This time, however, Decim felt a prickling unease, a subtle discord in the atmosphere. Before he could begin to explain the nature of their endeavor, the older man spoke, his words carrying a surprising weight. He claimed to have encountered Decim and the tavern before, a statement that hung in the air, unexpected and unsettling.
