Synopsis

With the notebook now in the Task Force's possession, a fabricated regulation, penned by Ryuk, manages to sway L's judgment, leading him to believe Light and Misa are not responsible. To Soichiro, Near is revealed as L’s chosen successor, while L begins to formulate a strategy for a decisive confrontation with Kira.
