Synopsis

A glacial and perilous forecast signals the imminent start of the Opilio crab season. On a cold, rainy January day, when sunlight offers only six hours of daylight, 171 vessels depart from Dutch Harbor, Alaska, venturing as far as 450 miles northwest in pursuit of crab.
