In 2019, I was initially attracted to Netflix’s _Dead to Me_ because it gave me the opportunity to watch two actors I had admired for years together on screen. The show quickly captivated me with its blend of dark humor and dramatic elements, and the conclusion of the first season left me wanting more. Fortunately, a second season arrived in early May. The story centers around Jen Harding and Judy Hale, whose lives became intertwined due to a devastating incident. Harding is a woman struggling to maintain control, while Hale has a carefree nature; their personalities sometimes conflict, other times they find common ground, all under the shadow of an unresolved murder case. The show can take you from uproarious laughter to intense seriousness and even moments where you’re shocked by unfolding events. It manages to incorporate numerous plot developments skillfully, and some of these turns prompted enthusiastic reactions—we were shouting and laughing—while others elicited a sense of suspense. If you appreciated the first season, this one raises the stakes considerably, brings in new faces, and provides more significant parts for characters who previously had smaller roles. It's an enjoyable series that delivers both dramatic and unsettling scenes alongside genuinely funny moments.
