Synopsis

The U-96 encountered a convoy and, with its torpedoes, sank three merchant vessels. Following this attack, a relentless twenty-four-hour pursuit commenced, with two destroyers deploying depth charges. The submarine’s commander attempted to evade them in water depths of two hundred and thirty meters. It seemed the end had arrived for the U-96.
