Dancing with the Stars — Season 16
Season sixteen of *Dancing with the Stars*, which launched on March 18, 2013, welcomed back familiar faces: hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke Charvet, alongside judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli. The signature live music, courtesy of the Harold Wheeler orchestra and singers, also returned to set the stage for another exciting competition. This season saw a shift in scoring with the elimination of fractional results. Notably, this was the first time finalists didn't all master both Latin and ballroom dance forms – a unique twist that meant no one tackled Tango, and several contestants bypassed dances like Paso Doble, Samba, Salsa, and Rumba. Adding to the variety, each finalist also skipped one of the two brand-new dance styles introduced this season; Aly Raisman and Zendaya didn’t perform Jazz, while Kellie Pickler and Corbin Bleu opted out of Contemporary routines. Ultimately, the season culminated in a momentous victory for Derek Hough, securing his fourth mirror ball trophy and solidifying his place as *Dancing with the Stars'* most decorated professional dancer.
