Synopsis

Lady Maltby generously lends her Rolls Royce to Mainwaring for use as an official staff car. Following its initial camouflage, however, the vehicle requires a hasty return to black paint; the mayor’s own car has become stranded without petrol, and there is no alternative available to welcome a visiting VIP.
