To celebrate Spitfire Week, a parade was arranged in Walmington-on-Sea, and following a viewing of a newsreel, the platoon resolved that a mascot would be most desirable. Sponge procured a sheep, prompting a series of fruitless attempts to capture his ram, who proved remarkably elusive.
