Ha Jung-hoo and his colleague Ho-yeol are D.P., members of a specialized military unit tasked with tracking down soldiers who desert their posts. This season follows their grueling work as they pursue individuals fleeing the system, each carrying a deeply personal story that exposes the harsh realities behind military service – and forces Jun-hoo and Ho-yeol to confront truths about the institution itself they never fully understood.
An Jun-ho’s sharp perception secured him a place within the Deserter Pursuit unit. But on his initial assignment alongside Park Sung-woo, events unfold with unforeseen complications.
Released from the hospital, Han Ho-yeol returned to base and joined forces with Jun-ho to find a soldier who had last been seen near a subway station.
During a brief respite from their duties, Jun-ho and Ho-yeol undertake a mission. Hoping to gather information, they decide to go undercover, seeking to befriend the girlfriend of a deserter.
The relentless hazing chipped away at Cho Suk-bong’s easygoing nature. Burdened by duties, the recruit slipped through the perimeter fence under the cover of darkness.
The weight of it all finally breaks Suk-bong. As they delve deeper into the matter, the two soldiers uncover details surrounding Hwang Jang-soo’s release from service.
The pursuit of a deserting soldier quickly escalates into a desperate hunt for a fugitive, and Jun-ho and Ho-yeol race against time to locate him before armed forces can apprehend him.
