Synopsis

Paul Salisbury of Australia accepted the challenge of a 2,000-meter peak in Nagano Prefecture. The Japan Alps mountain pass offered vistas of breathtaking beauty, spurring him onward and upward. Away from the bicycle, Salisbury immersed himself in local traditions: the harvesting of wasabi in clear streams, and the crafting of baskets from wild bamboo. Throughout his journey, he traversed 300 kilometers across the green ridges and valleys of Nagano, encountering new experiences with every turn.
