The legend and mystery of witches endure in the people of Zugarramurdi, who today reveal to visitors the caves that once hosted their gatherings and celebrations known as "akelarres." In 1610, the Inquisition tried forty women from Zugarramurdi, condemning twelve of them to be burned at the stake for witchcraft. Since then, Zugarramurdi has been inextricably linked with witches and caves, the traditional setting for these nocturnal meetings. The HAARP Project: Behind these letters lies a clan
