I’m coming to this later than everyone else, but it turned out to be quite enjoyable. It avoided the predictable pitfalls in storytelling that often plague productions based on comics these days—it was a pleasant surprise. The mature subject matter, action sequences, partnerships between characters, and unexpected turns of events in both story and planning were highlights for me. I'm not eager to praise Gunn’s work, especially considering his less-than-stellar superhero films, but the writing here truly stands out. It almost makes you think he managed to circumvent whoever is supposedly assigned to inject DEI/ESG mandates into scripts, just so this series could get made; it's that impressive. I never thought I would use this expression when talking about a studio producing comic adaptations, but I’m genuinely hoping—it feels strange to say—that there will be another season to confirm that the quality of this first one wasn't simply due to chance. (*Peacemaker* should sound familiar.) I hope you find it as entertaining as I did! -- Bob --
