Synopsis

Amadeu reassures Marocas, saying that he is a friend of Dom Sabino. Vanda tells Samuca that she will try to reach an agreement with Dom Sabino. Marocas does not accept Amadeu's help to rent an apartment. Mrs. Calahan accepts Amadeu's recommendation and hires Miss Celine as a school teacher. Carmen and Dom Sabino argue.
