Synopsis

Biagio Schiro remains hospitalized, recuperating from the wounds sustained in the shooting. Toto Riina, though serving a life sentence, maintains hope for its reversal in the appellate court. A new chief judge is slated to head the Palermo investigative center, with Giovanni Falcone and Meli Antonino as the two candidates. Against considerable expectation, Meli emerges as the victor.
