Synopsis

The news of Private Vincent's imminent furlough arrived just before his death, prompting Saunders to journey to England. His purpose was to deliver Vincent’s final gift to Ann Tinsley, the woman who directed a children's home. While in London, Saunders spent time with the orphans, witnessing firsthand the profound hardships they had endured during the war. He also found himself drawn to Ann, and a quiet affection began to bloom between them.
