Synopsis

Saunders had to return to headquarters for a meeting, leaving Kirby in command. Initially, the responsibility seemed to inflate his ego, but the situation shifted dramatically when Caje was wounded and communication lines were severed. Suddenly, Kirby found himself contemplating what the Sarge would do. However, with a bit of prompting from Doc, he began to consider not the Sarge's course of action, but rather what *he* could do to navigate this crisis.
