Synopsis

Feigning death behind enemy lines, the wounded Hanley is captured and subsequently interrogated. When Hanley remains uncooperative, General Von Strelitz removes him for further questioning. The German general, with unsettling calm, executes his chauffeur and demands Hanley take his place. Von Strelitz offers no explanation for his intentions, and Lieutenant Hanley finds little satisfaction in the promotion to Captain in the Heer.
