Synopsis

Hanley and his men were captured. Their encampment was subjected to artillery fire. The Germans managed to secure all but Saunders. Using the cover of the barrage, the men made their escape. Once they had put a sufficient distance between themselves and the enemy, Hanley conducted a headcount. They discovered Saunders was missing, and the men urged a return to search for him.
