Synopsis

Findlay Crawford, the celebrated Hollywood film composer and conductor, had nurtured a promising young composer, who for several years had discreetly written the majority of Crawford’s scores. This protégé ultimately composed Crawford's entire last film score, a work that garnered the Academy Award. Now, as the young composer seeks to establish his own career, Crawford, feeling his creative wellspring depleted, devises a meticulously planned murder, designed to appear as a suicide.
