Synopsis

Detective Rush and Sergeant Valens reopened the case of a twenty-five-year-old Black woman murdered in 1939, spurred by a recent revelation from the victim’s granddaughter. Initially presumed to be the victim of a client, a common fate for those perceived to be working as a prostitute, correspondence penned by the woman suggests a different terror: a fear of the neighborhood milkman.
