Synopsis

A predator’s arrogance ultimately betrays him when he sends a mocking letter to the police, unwittingly providing the DNA evidence – extracted from saliva on the envelope's seal – that leads to his capture. Similarly, in South Dakota, the discovery of a man brutally murdered, his head crushed by a heavy rock, initiates a two-decade investigation into the killers: a man and woman identified only as “Outlaw” and “Inlaw,” members of a communal, free-spirited hippie collective.
