Synopsis

In Winston-Salem, 1982, racial divisions ran deep through the city. The discovery of a young white copy editor, brutally raped and stabbed just blocks from her workplace, heightened that tension to a palpable degree. It would be twenty years before Deborah Sykes’s killer was finally brought to justice.
