Synopsis

The newcomers receive an orientation to the emergency room. A physician recently transferred from the army, skilled in numerous advanced procedures, is airlifted to the beach for a shark attack alongside Mike Leighton. In the ensuing chaos, Leighton falls twenty feet from the helicopter. Dr. Guthrie Jr. is appointed director of both the emergency room and the operating theater.
