The premise on paper seemed promising, and maintaining a tight focus on the central narrative could have made for something considerably better than average. However, the creators evidently decided to weave in multiple storylines. One explored themes related to presuming guilt and the risks of artificial intelligence making judgments—though the specifics were unclear. The other involved scenarios where a woman and Black characters faced peril, incorporating what felt like attempts at progressive messaging. It's disappointing when something with potential gets diminished by these kinds of additions. It’s perplexing why those in charge haven’t realized by now that audiences generally don’t appreciate having political viewpoints shoved into their entertainment. I'm increasingly tired of this "wokeness" and often find myself abandoning shows if they go down that path, which is what happened with this one.
