Synopsis

Clarissa was delighted to be selected as the understudy for the lead role in the school play, viewing it initially as a rather straightforward task. Her good fortune abruptly shifted on opening night when the leading actor developed a severe sore throat. Ferguson, claiming to offer assistance, began working with Clarissa to get her lines in order; however, unbeknownst to her, he was having her memorize passages from a variety of entirely different plays instead.
