The show "CIA" features capable performers within a rather unremarkable action-spy framework. I found the initial installment to be quite forgettable and following a standard pattern; it didn’t really come together for me, and included what I perceived as expected progressive messaging. While the performances are good, they're trapped in a series that has been underwhelming up to this point. Essentially, it’s a straightforward action spy story adhering to the typical portrayal of America’s global dominance.
