Synopsis

Burgess pursued Roman after the young man was wounded by a figure in a hood. The assailant had opened fire on their patrol car, and Burgess, believing she had shot the suspect, discovered no weapon at the scene. Instead, the person she had struck was a seventeen-year-old honor student.
