Synopsis

The fragile threads of Kate’s composure and empathy unravel when her father is diagnosed with a surgically correctable condition, only to reject the procedure on religious grounds. Geiger reappears at the hospital, now a member of a visiting clown troupe, tasked with bringing levity to the patients. Meanwhile, Sutton delivers a newborn with ambiguous genitalia, a child whose parents harbor equally uncertain feelings.
