The explanation for the Angels’ appeal, according to one of the documentary series about the 1970s, involved their attire—or lack thereof—and what was visible underneath. However, setting that aside, the show is simply enjoyable in a very 70s style. The storyline exists primarily to provide entertainment, and it’s certainly not striving for realism. Once you get past that initial element, though, it resembles those charming detective programs from the late 1970s through the mid-1980s, even if this particular series is built around a male fantasy and features a cast to match.
